Historical castle of the XVI century in the Gothic style

Location: one of the most picturesque places in 76 km from Liepaja and the coastline of the Gulf of Riga, 172 km from Riga. The castle complex is located on a huge plot of land of 20. 37 hectares, of which: 12. 37 hectares are forest and park, 6 hectares are arable land, 2 hectares is a lake and a trout river.

The central building of 1600m2 (castle) was built in 1561, since that time it was partly rebuilt only once. Now the building has been renovated to a "clean" finish, on the entire first floor is made a warm floor. The park belonging to the castle is of great historical importance and is mentioned in many chronicles of the 18th and 19th centuries as one of the most picturesque places of Kurzeme (Kurland). The owners of the castle at different times were famous people.
