An ancient 16th-century castle is located in the small town of Fichtenau, Baden-Wrttemberg. The town is very quiet, the distance to Stuttgart is about 150 km, to Nuremberg - about 110 km. The building with three outbuildings was built in the 16th century, the staircase bay windows date back to the 17th and 18th centuries, 4 corner towers were added in the 19th century. In 1662, the castle passed from the family of von Knringen to the ownership of the Hofer von Lobenstein family, who left their family estate Hof am Regen because of persecutions against Protestants.
