Asari is a part of the city of Jurmala, located 28 km from Riga, was formed on the territory of the former fishing village of Saushi. 

The present name of this place is from the 19th century (the name comes from the Asarov house). 

The building began in the second half of the 19th century. The place is famous for its strawberries. For the first time strawberries were planted here in 1877 - it was brought from France by the owner of the villa Cortezi. In the 1930s, Asari was the favorite recreation place for wealthy Rigans. The house is located in the town of Yurmala, on the second line of development from the sea, on Kapu street.
